Q1. Can I see Michelle's schedule so that I have a better idea of when she might be available to work with me?

A1. Sure! The calendar below is updated an a daily basis during the workweek. While there is always a small chance that it may be slightly out-of-sync, it is almost always an accurate representation of Michelle's current calendar of availability. When you register as a VIP client, you will be asked to select one of the open weeks. You can use the arrows to scroll through the months and see availability in future months. The week that you select will be reserved specifically for Michelle's work with you.

Q2. I see that your services include distribution of my resume to recruiters and venture capital firms. I'm not quite ready to do that. Can that be scheduled for another time?

A2. Certainly. If you are not ready to have me send out your resume right now, I would be happy to schedule it for a time that is more convenient for you - up to three months in the future. Or, at your request, rather than doing the distribution for you, I will send you all the data and the merge files to conduct the distribution yourself at a later time.

Q3. Could you tell me about your guarantee?

A3. I am so confident in my services that I offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you follow through with the project and are not completely satisfied with the quality of my services and the deliverables I have prepared for you, just request a refund within seven days of receiving the proofs.

However - when you book my services, you are asking me to make a big commitment to you - essentially setting aside an entire week of my time to focus solely on your project. In return I ask you to make a commitment to me. Your payment is a RETAINER for my services and is not refundable simply because you change your mind or don't follow through with your part of the project (gathering the information I ask for). I don't want to scare you! This has never been a problem, and I certainly don't anticipate it will be one. I just want to be certain that you understand there is a commitment involved.

Q4. How do you gather information from me? Do you use worksheets, telephone interviews, or some combination?

A4. My process combines worksheets with telephone interviews. I will have you complete an intake worksheet that I developed and have been refining for the past twelve years. This is approximately 12 pages long and will likely take you several hours to complete. Many of my clients have reported that this worksheet process is an extremely valuable one in that it helps them to focus and think about their career and achievements in new ways. I've found that I get much more complete and accurate information when clients have the opportunity to sit with the questions, go away and think about them, do research - all on their own timetable - rather than being on the spot to answer them in a phone interview. But once the worksheet is complete and submitted to me, I will be in touch with you by telephone, to go over areas that aren't quite clear to me and to probe for more detail when necessary.

Q5. I need a special document written that I don't see on your list of deliverables, can you still write it for me?

A5. Probably. Just discuss your needs with me and we might decide together to substitute it for one of the other documents on the list of deliverables. However, it is important for you to know that my primary concern is to meet your needs. Often, while working on a client's portfolio I'll realize that a particular document would be especially helpful to them based on the job search strategies that we've discussed. In these cases, its common for me to go above and beyond, creating an extra letter, or an addendum, or a slightly different version of your resume...meeting whatever need it was that I detected.
